This notice explains which data tartarughedacqua.it processes, for what purposes, for how long, and the choices and rights you have as a visitor or someone submitting an editorial proposal.

Data controller and contact details

The data controller is The Guardians of the Earth Foundation ETS. For information about data processing and to exercise your rights, write to info@icustodidellaterra.org.

This page applies to tartarughedacqua.it. Websites reached through links, including the Foundation’s other projects, provide information about their own services.

The website provides informational content without requiring an account. Hosting systems may record IP addresses, dates and times, requested resources, response outcomes and technical browser information to deliver pages, diagnose errors and prevent abuse.

Processing is connected to providing the requested service and ensuring website security. Technical data should be retained for as long as necessary for these purposes, in accordance with the hosting service’s rotation cycles and documented needs arising from an incident or legal obligation.

When you contact the editorial team

The email link opens your email application: the website does not collect your message through a form. The Foundation receives the sender’s address and whatever you choose to write, in order to handle and respond to the request. Sending a message is optional; without contact details, a reply is not possible.

Limit your message to relevant information. Do not send personal health data, identity documents, other people’s data or images of minors. An editorial proposal only needs a summary and sources; any publication rights are agreed separately.

Messages are processed to respond to your request, not to subscribe you to newsletters or send advertising. They are retained for the time needed to manage correspondence and any documented need to protect rights or meet obligations. You can contact the Foundation to ask about the criteria applied to your request.

Google Analytics and profiling tools are not active. The website does not load fonts from external services or embed third-party donation platforms or videos.

You do not need to express a preference for analytics cookies: browsing this website does not use them. Preferences saved by an earlier version do not activate measurement.

Data access and service providers

Correspondence is intended for the Foundation and the people authorised to handle it. Technical hosting and email services participate in processing within the scope of their respective tasks. Data is not published automatically and is not sold.

An author’s attribution, name, profile and materials require a specific editorial agreement before any publication. For clarification about providers and the safeguards applicable to processing, use the contact details above.

Your rights

Where the GDPR provides for it, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability, and object to processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

Write to info@icustodidellaterra.org and specify your request. You can also contact the Italian Data Protection Authority.

Families and updates

The content can be read together with children; contact with the editorial team must be handled by an adult. Decisions about animal care remain an adult responsibility.

This notice is updated when services and processing activities change. The date at the beginning identifies the version of the text.
